Heating System Services

WavesHVAC offers a comprehensive range of services for your heating systems, catering to both residential and commercial needs. Heating systems often comprise multiple components, and your setup may include a combination of these.

We service all types of heating equipment, including furnaces, water boilers, heat pumps, radiators, and air handlers. Older buildings often feature radiator heating systems, where a water boiler heats water that is then circulated to radiators, releasing warmth throughout the space. In modern setups, forced air systems are more common. While a water boiler may still be used to supply hot water for faucets and showers, air heating is typically handled by a furnace or an electric heat pump. Furnaces can run on oil, natural gas, or electricity, depending on the system installed.

Ductless Mini Split Systems

The simplest type of ductless HVAC system is the mini split system, which was the first type of ductless system developed. It is called a “mini split” because its function is divided between an indoor and an outdoor unit, both of which are considerably more compact and streamlined than most traditional systems. A mini split typically refers to single-zone units with one air handler.

Several types of air handlers are available, and these can be mounted on the wall, ceiling, or floor. Single-zone mini splits are the easiest systems to install and are commonly used for spot cooling or supplementing a central AC system, providing greater control over individual spaces.

Radiant Heating Systems

WavesHVAC also provides services for radiant heating systems, a highly efficient and innovative solution for maintaining indoor warmth. In a radiant heat system, the water boiler supplies heat that is distributed through water lines installed beneath the flooring. The heat radiates upward, warming the space without the need for ductwork or vents, as required in forced air systems.

This type of heating is particularly ideal for new home construction where flooring is yet to be installed or in homes undergoing renovations that include new flooring. Radiant heating offers an energy-efficient, evenly distributed warmth, making it a popular choice for modern and sustainable homes.
